Ribble Valley Music is a not-for-profit organisation run by unpaid volunteers to meet the demand for quality live music of all types across the Ribble Valley. The majority of events take place within the Ribble Valley Music Festival from spring to autumn at a number of landmark venues including churches and Whalley Abbey. In addition to providing social and cultural opportunities the Ribble Valley Music Festival has a meaningful purpose with all proceeds being donated to host venues to benefit their upkeep and long term development for generations to come.
Ribble Valley Music Festival has developed into a major event in the Ribble Valley with many of the events completely selling out in the first year. They have earned a reputation for high standards and value for money and have brought a wide range of quality music and many visitors to the Ribble Valley.
Performances are by leading national and regional artists, including aspiring local artists and students and include dance, drama, poetry and video organised in collaboration with other performing arts groups.
